Women Deserve Better. Coaches Deserve Answers.
Everything you’ve been told about programming for women is incomplete. Here's how to finally get results, prevent pain, and understand female physiology—without guessing
I am a coach looking to better support my female clients →
I am a woman wanting to train and live without hormonal symptoms controlling me →

11 years ago, I decided enough was enough.
I had been living in pain from rheumatoid arthritis since birth, intense carvings and difficulty building muscle due to undiagnosed hyperthyroidism, and PMDD. For 26 years, the only solutions offered were higher doses of medication or being told “it was all in my head.”
By then, my hair was falling out, my nails were literally peeling off, my cravings were too intense to ignore, and my joints—knees, wrists, ankles—were so swollen I couldn’t even perform a bodyweight squat without discomfort.
At the same time, my PMDD was debilitating. Every month meant fatigue, mood swings, migraines, vomiting, and severe cramps—something I had to plan my life around.
I remember asking for alternatives. The response was simply to increase medication.
That was the moment I realised:
No one was actually addressing why this was happening.
Hi, I'm Skye.
Through years of learning, experimenting, and formal education, I started to see a different picture.
-
Nutrition directly influences symptoms
-
Training can either aggravate or support the body
-
Recovery, stress, and lifestyle all play a role
When I began making targeted adjustments to my training, nutrition, and lifestyle, everything started to shift.
Not overnight—but consistently.
My symptoms reduced.
My flare-ups became less frequent.
My body became stronger and more predictable.
What I experienced personally is not unique.
Women are often:
-
Undiagnosed for years (with an average delay of up to 8-10 years in many conditions)
-
Given symptom "band-aids" without deeper management or lifestyle guidance
-
Told to “push through” or “just rest” without clear reasoning
At the same time:
-
Most coaches are not taught female-specific anatomy or physiology
-
Many nutrition approaches are overly simplified
-
Training methods are often generalised rather than individualised
The result? Women are left underserved, misunderstood, and often blaming themselves.
I don’t aim to diagnose conditions.
I don’t replace medical care.
What I do is focus on what is within my scope as a personal trainer and nutritionist:
-
Structured training that supports female biomechanics and physiology (in turn preventing injury and common dysfunctions like urinary incontinence)
-
Nutrition strategies that align with changing energy and hormonal demands (in turn preventing cravings and reducing symptoms)
-
Lifestyle and recovery approaches that reduce stress on the body
Because while medication may be necessary—
movement, nutrition, and lifestyle are still powerful tools when applied correctly.
I am the founder of The Female Specific Method™ — an evidence-informed approach to women’s health and fitness designed to work with the female body, not against it.
It exists to bridge the gap between:
-
What women experience
-
And what the industry has been taught
Through this method, I help:
Coaches → Understand female physiology so they can better support their clients
Women → Train, eat, and live in a way that reduces symptoms, improves performance, and builds long-term health
If you’ve been:
-
Doing everything “right” but still struggling
-
Experiencing symptoms that don’t make sense
-
Unsure if what you’re doing is actually helping
You’re not the problem.
You’ve been given incomplete information.
And when you apply the right strategies—
training, nutrition, and recovery can start working with your body instead of against it.
If you’re ready to understand your body properly and stop guessing, book a call and let’s find the right approach for you.
